What MovingCal is

MovingCal provides free calculators and reference pages for relocation planning: cost of living, salary after tax, moving budgets, rent vs buy, and country comparisons. Everything is available without an account and without payment. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time.

Not professional advice

Every figure on this site is a planning estimate built from the sources and formulas documented on our methodology page. Nothing here is financial, tax, legal, investment, or immigration advice, and no output of any calculator constitutes a recommendation to act. Tax outcomes depend on personal circumstances; prices vary by neighborhood and month; visa rules change. Before signing a lease, accepting an offer, buying property, or filing anything with a government, verify the numbers with official sources or a qualified adviser.

Accuracy and warranties

We work hard to keep the dataset current and the formulas honest, and we document our limitations openly. Even so, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied – including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability. If you find an error, please tell us via the contact page; corrections ship in the next data refresh.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for personal and internal business purposes. You may not scrape the site at volumes that degrade it for others, attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it, use it for anything unlawful, or republish substantial portions of its content as your own. Quoting figures with a link back to the source page is welcome.

Intellectual property

The MovingCal name, design, page content, and compiled dataset are owned by the site operator. Underlying public facts (tax brackets, exchange rates) belong to no one; the selection, normalisation, and presentation here are ours.

Third-party links and services

Pages may link to external sites and may carry advertising served by third parties. We don't control those sites or vendors and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MovingCal and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages – including financial losses, relocation costs, or tax outcomes – arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its estimates. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the effective date at the top changes when we do, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
